The Honorary Consulate of Ghana in Italy, H.Consul Massimiliano Colasuonno Taricone, is committed daily to the promotion of good standards of the quality of life of the people of Ghana and to preserve the cultural heritage of the country.

The Third Generation Ghanaian H. Consul Taricone is at the forefront of fighting all forms of racism and over the years has distinguished himself for favoring the integration of Italians and Ghanaians in both nations.

Colasuonno Taricone’s newest initiative includes the support of the Golden Generation of Ghana Association, a young Ghanaian association founded in Italy with the aim of contributing to the development of the country and promoting Ghanaian culture throughout the world.

Unity is the founding value of the association and allows the formation of self-awareness in young people, while providing other incentives in the promotion and developing ideas or entrepreneurial initiatives in partnership with volunteer associations or NGOs.

The development of Ghana is a very important topic for the H. Consul Taricone as one of the families who has been at the top of Ghana’s business industry for nearly fifty years with Trasacco Group of companies.

With his cash prize Consul Taricone made a donation of 5 water wells

The Consulate’s goal is not only to promote Italian investments in Ghana but to promote social and cultural activities. In this regard, in 2015; he contributed to the organization of the Business Forum of Ghana in Rome during the visit of the Ashanti King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

In the same year, the H. Consol won 50,000 GHS (10,881 euros) in the first edition of My Boss is the Best Chef (similar to Masterchef) which was donated to the fund for the construction of 5 borehole wells to provide potable water in villages in northern Ghana.

The Taricone H.Consul has nurtured friendly relations and collaboration with all the prominent personalities of Ghanaian politics, including former Presidents John Kufuor and John Dramani Mahama, and has always sought to stimulate cultural debate on Ghana through meetings, debates and conferences.

For several years, H. Consul Colasuonno Taricone’s has supported the Hope Children’s Village of Ghana, an extension of the association of the Village of Hope, which deals nurturing and with providing education and health care to children who have remained orphaned or who are in a difficult family situation.

Family support is one of the main activities of the H.Consul who, each year, donates a high-quality complete kitchen for Mother’s Day, to moms nominated through various institutions who cannot afford to buy one.
