Taricone meets with Honourable Minister Botchway: A new chapter for trade relations between Italy and Ghana

“A positive meeting that I am sure will encourage relations between Italy and Ghana.” the Honorary Consul of Ghana in Italy Massimiliano Colasuonno Taricone was happy with the breakfast meeting held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana; Honourable Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchway held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. During the meeting, which took place at the Ghanaian Embassy to the Holy See in Rome, the consul and the head of Ghana’s Foreign Ministry addressed issues of boosting trade and industrial relations between Italy and Ghana.

“The Ghanaian government has shown important incentives towards Italian investors which will certainly lead to positive results,” said the Consul Taricone.

Honourable Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchway was on her first visit to Italy since her appointment. At 53 years, she is the acting Foreign Minister of Ghana since January 2017; as a qualified journalist and expert on political communication. She was elected for the first time to Parliament in 2005 and is listed under the New Patriot Party.
